Spring Greens for the Winter Months
by Desi Creswell, Tastemaker in Residence
Around the end of February I start to daydream about seeing some green out the window. Traditionally green is associated with life, renewal, and growth – and I need that boost when we are in the thick of winter. It will be awhile in Minnesota before we see any budding plants so I thought I would share a few ways to bring green to your table and into your life. Enjoy!
The Fix Herb Pot by Sagaform is a modern mix of white stoneware and warm oak. Not only would this herb pot be excellent for adding fresh green flavors to your meal, it would be a perfect hostess or housewarming gift.
The Pop Sugar Bowl is a little bit retro and very playful. The soft green and neutral top is colorful enough to “pop” but subtle enough to blend with many interiors. The series also offers a coffee/teapot, a small jug, a cup and saucer, a mug, a bowl with a lid and plates – collect them all!
A traditional palm leaf pattern of vibrant green leaves embellishes this handy tray which could be used on a bar, console or ottoman. Perfect for serving drinks or displaying your favorite objects.
I adore the classic silhouette of the Tucker Chair from Serena & Lilly. This chair is casual, playful, and oh so versatile.
The Nori Green Stripe Placemat is an affordable way to experience a Liora Manne design. Manne’s patented Montique® process hand-layers ribbons of green acrylic fibers encased in vinyl for a translucent effect. Each placemat is one of a kind.
How are you bringing greens into your life?
