Christmas Boughs, Trees of Cards and Tabletops of Spirit

Christmas Trees of a different sort...

Piles of Christmas cards are ok, but displaying them provides a special home for each card. Long ago I bought a gold tree made out of branches that would bend (I'll post a photo of it bare later). I purchased gold and silver clothes pins and each year I hang the cards on the tree. The tree skirt is just a piece of fabric I wrapped around the bottom. 

This tree is about 20 years old and very artificial. I store it exactly the way you see it now, except it breaks into 2 halves for easy packing. This year I decided to put it inside my grandmother's punch bowl. Trees don't always have to be a lot of fuss. 

I clear the kitchen counters for Christmas decor, otherwise it looks too crowded. This metal tree is home for my dessert and kitchen related ornaments. Enjoy the old and new gifts you have been given by displaying and using differently around the tree.

Another option, give the kid's a tree to decorate with whatever they choose.  

Friends pop in, so create a space in your family area or kitchen that is ready for a mini-party. Christmas napkins, plates, decor, glasses and anything else you can think of that makes it festive. I displayed one of my Christmas presents; A Spirited Table cutting board - thank you Richard, Allison and Koko. 

I placed a candle on a plate and put inside a feather wreath. 

Take a nap, when needed!
