W3 Book Club - Still Alice

Our host for our Still Alice book club had a family emergency so could not be home to host.   However, she did not cancel and graciously allowed the rest of us to come to her home and have our meeting anyway. She left us quiche and salad for dinner. And, as usual, we all brought wine and lively discussion!

Sometimes life gets in the way but does not stop people from gathering.

The book, Still Alice is about a Columbia University linguistics professor who is diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimers Disease. When she receives the diagnosis, family bonds are tested. Her struggle to stay connected to who she once was is frightening, heartbreaking and inspiring.
