Valentine's Day Table Décor
by Desi Creswell, Tastemaker in Residence
Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching. Create a sweet and romantic dinner atmosphere with these feminine pieces.
The combination of painterly roses and black trim make for an elegant dinner backdrop. Not only is this dinnerware set perfect for Valentine’s Day, it would also work well for an afternoon tea or bridal shower.
Kate Spade’s Rose Gold Flatware features classic, modern lines in an on trend finish that picks up the sleek metallic edges on the Roses Dinnerware.
A simple, yet beautiful idea for a quick centerpiece comes from one of my favorites, Martha Stewart. Simply cluster full blooms in café au lait bowls (try Anthropologie or Sur La Table if you don’t already have some) and arrange in a small grouping. White bowls will make the bright pink flowers pop.
Pretty Vintage Accents
Add a feminine touch with vintage cloth napkins. It’s often difficult to find a full set so consider a mix of styles for a modern feel. Choose napkins in a similar hue to create a cohesive aesthetic. Flea markets and Ebay are excellent resources (search terms: vintage cloth napkins, antique linen napkins).
The “Octavie” Champagne Flute from Villeroy & Bock is the perfect complement to this setting. Its simple flute with a glittering crystal base is a timeless salute to your love and friendship.
