St. Patrick's Day Prayer - The Burn's Grace

This St Patrick’s Day, I am reminded of a tradition that has been passed down for generations as part of my Scottish Irish heritage. Whenever my family gathers for a meal we say the Burns Grace.  

I remember with fondness all the fabulous meals, happy conversations and memories of my dear family gathered around the table saying Grace together. I proudly display my grandmother’s Burns Blessing on my dining room wall so I can continue the tradition with my children...

The Burn’s Grace
Some hae meat an
canna eat,
And some wad eat that want it;
But we hae meat, and we can eat,
And sae let the Lord be thankit.
