Immigrant Farmer Cultural Day!

Support local farmers at Mill City Farmers Market!

This week, we want to highlight our immigrant farmers and vendors and celebrate the unique food culture we have here in Minnesota. Be sure to check out our featured guest vendor -

Minnesota Food Association/Big River Farm on Saturday. MFA provides a full range of educational programming about organic agriculture to beginning immigrant and minority farmers, a population that is typically underrepresented in the local organic farming community. They use the rich resources of their Certified Organic educational farm, located just 30 miles outside of the Twin Cities, to provide hands-on training, workshops, and other opportunities for the community to engage in the lives of organic farmers and the production of the food they eat. Currently 13 farms are enrolled in the Big River Farms training program, representing 8 different cultures.

Stop by this Saturday, shop the finest produce in town, and stay for awhile to enjoy the day's festivities.

Check out who's in on our Vendor Map!
