Choose to T.H.R.I.V.E. This Holiday Season
by Bridget Levin, Tastemaker in Residence
The holiday season can be the most wonderful or the the most horrible time of the year. Take control and make yours wonderful with this smooth approach:
T Take time every day to write down one thing you appreciate and
read the list on New Year’s Day.
H Home is where the heart is, so remember to limit your outside
engagements and stay home a few nights a week.
R Running your self ragged won’t make anyone happy, least of all
yourself. Look at your list and slash half of it-no one will know
but you.
I Indulge in things that are worth it in the long term: time spent
with people you love, healthy food and memory-making events.
V Volunteer as an annual holiday ritual and corral family and
friends to make a real difference.
E Enjoy the little things. A cup of hot cider by the fire, a walk in the
woods, a letter or card. The whirlwind will be over before you
know it!
