Christmas Hit Parade #1
by Cindi Sutter, Founder of The Spirited Table®
The week before Christmas...take a breathe...choose to spend time with friends more than gift obsessing...and set yourself up one tree or table setting at a time. Maybe this year, you just do one REALLY well and enjoy it. It's taken me decades to learn this, so here are a few tips...choose your favorite and go for it. Merry Christmas!
You have 7+ days till Christmas. So at this stage focus on presenting your Christmas treats and treasures in a way that makes them easy to access as you need them.
#1 Piled up Christmas cards on the counter, don't set you up for reading or at least enjoying the photos and memories. Check out my Christmas Card Cheer tip for an easy and fun way to display them and get the kids involved too.
#2 Christmas Bears or other "collections" that aren't breakable can easily be stored on your staircase. See The Week Before Christmas Tips for this tip, Tabletops of Spirit, and last minute tips for decorating the banisters.
#3 Gift Wrapping Tips - See To give a Gift or Gifts-that is the holiday question? and my personal obsession = Gift Wrapping. See Last Minute Gift Wrapping. (I know there isn't time for setting this up this week, but put it on your Winter project list Gift Drawers, Corners or Closets. Then all your birthdays, anniversaries, Hanukkah and Christmas gifts are found quickly and next year will be a breeze...(yeah, right!)
Merry Christmas from my house to yours...xoxo
