Seasons of a Soldier
by Cindi Sutter, Founder of The Spirited Table®
Men only…season changed, duty calls, many answer
Meet your enemy face to face…a vesture no longer worn
Draft or Volunteer…a different season yet to be completely defined
War is over, politicians shake hands and try to move on…deep seeded hate, lives and battles lost and long-term memories all result in a different effect on a soldier’s life and seasons
Love of comrades in arms…forever true: forever changed
War ends when…never
The rules have changed for veterans and the wars in which they fight. Women have long been part of the battle grounds; but recently they serve a broader and more profound role in our military.
Where there is smoke, there is fire; and right now the worldwide cry for Isis to be stopped represents a fire that must be exterminated.
So why do soldier’s now choose this season in their lives?
Honor, duty, love of country, love of the engagement, defending our freedom.
Seasons of a Soldier = Mindset of Making a Difference
