Katie's Easy Mexican Table Setting

Katie's sense of style was obvious to us when we were teenagers. So to say that she can literally “throw together a beautiful table, room, decor and more” is not hyperbole. Here is an easy and fun table setting she created with Mexican placements, artificial flowers and some steak knives her Dad literally honed himself.

The key elements are the blending of artificial Mexican flowers with seashells (Katie lives a block from the bay). Mexican plates, glasses, napkins, dragonfly napkin rings, and placemats round out the table setting. See if you can find the reflection of the Mexican wood chandelier on the table and I can’t forget my favorite piece; the amazing hot pink patterned upholstery of the chairs.

I know you’re thinking I don’t have any of those kinds of placemats etc. Find a Mexican market near you and you just might be surprised what you can create with decor pieces like seashells. Let yourself think way outside the Christmas decor box and just see what happens?!?!
