Tulips - Did you know?!

by Reba Berge, Tastemaker in Residence

When the Tulip came to Europe in the sixteenth century, the popularity of the flower grew rapidly. It was termed as ‘Tulip Mania!’  At that time, you could buy a large canal house in Amsterdam, for the price of a single Tulip bulb.

Wow, are we ever grateful that the prices have come down on tulips. Even today, Tulip is one of the main export products of the floral industry. Don’t these happy flowers make you smile!?!
