Weekly Tip for Spanish Heritage Month
by Reba Berge, Tastemaker in Residence
The Helecho Cola De Zorra (Foxtail Fern) is a tremendously impressive plant! It is a member of the asparagus family and has soft fronds that make it unique and attractive in a landscape as well as any floral arrangement. When cut, the fronds can last up to 3 weeks in a bouquet! While the plant does not overwinter in the colder climates, you will find that it does well in warmer landscapes such as Mexico and Spain.
Spanish Heritage month began on September 15th and ends on October 15th, so enjoy this tribute to the Foxtail fern.
