Orchid Floral Bouquet

by Reba Berge, Tastemaker in Residence

Floral design has a myriad of components. One especially important component is attitude. The attitude of this design is fun-loving and joyful. Wouldn’t you agree?!

Ingredients

Hardgoods:

1 vase

1 packet flower food

Water

Floral shears

Fresh Material:

3 dendrobium orchids

1 stem pepperberry branch

Instructions

  1. Begin by emptying the packet of flower food into the vase, and mix with warm water.

  2. Next, cut the pepperberry branch into three sections and insert the stems into the vase.

  3. Lastly, cut each orchid stem at an angle and place each stem into the vase.

Floral Design Note: Each orchid stem will have its own natural curve. Because of this, it is important to let each stem “lay” in its natural way. That is the beauty and simplicity in this design.
