Wonderful Girls’ Weekend in the Big Apple—NYC!

As things ebb and flow in the travel industry during the Covid pandemic, sometimes it’s better to plan a destination closer to home in order to cure your travel bug! And things really are more fun when partying with your girlfriends in New York City! Especially when it’s for a milestone birthday.
We spent some time discussing things to do in NYC, and things that were on our birthday girl’s “must do” list before we went. I’ve included our “wish list” in the event you’re planning a 4 or 5 day trip of your own:

Chinatown for Dim Sum
Tour of the Metropolitan Museum of Art (we chose specific portions of the Met as it is a very large facility and we’ve found we all enjoy it more when we target specific art installations for viewing)
We started our trip by hitting the ground running and planning a detailed itinerary of things to do and see while in the Big Apple. Laying out a detailed list really helps large groups. We all had different interests, with a limited amount of time to see the sights and enjoy NYC. I highly suggest that any visitor to this hectically fun destination do the same, and I’ve included a sample itinerary, with sight and restaurant links, to help with your own planning:

We featured our birthday girl’s love of musical theater by attending “Six-The Musical” a new, hit show appearing on Broadway. The play is about the six wives of Henry the 8th, and embellishes just a bit on the story as told in history books. It definitely deserves all of the accolades with the fast paced, witty songs, and patter the wives share with each other and the audience. We all gave this production 5 stars and recommend your taking the time to see it when next you find yourself in NYC!
