Laura Chin
After opening Leeann Chin Chinese Cuisine in 1980 with her mother, Leeann, Laura’s career in the restaurant business took off. She helped her mother rapidly build the company into the revered Asian restaurants in the Twin Cities with over fifty locations throughout the region. She was instrumental in the sale of the company to General Mills, Inc. and the repurchase from General Mills, Inc. She went on to run Asia Grille Restaurant and the Leeann Chin Foundation where, as President, Laura served on boards of directors for numerous non-profit organizations.
Today, along with her volunteer work, Laura meets monthly with her W3 (Women, Words and Wine) Book Club for food and fun. Each month is hosted by a different member who chooses a book. From there they prepare food, decorate their home and set a table in accordance with the book’s theme.
