Cremini Mushroom Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
2 Tbsp olive oil
2 Tbsp butter
1 cup onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
8 oz cremini mushroom caps, roughly chopped
1/4 cup dry white wine
3/4 cup sour cream
salt and pepper to taste
3 Tbsp chopped chives
Instructions
- Heat olive oil and butter in medium sauté pan
- Saute onions until tender
- Add garlic and stir constantly for a minute
- Add mushrooms, stir for a minute and add wine
- Reduce wine to about 1Tbsp, reduce heat
- Add about 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp pepper, more to taste
- Gently stir in sour cream until well mixed, add chives
- Serve with grilled steak.
- If there is any extra juice from the steaks, add to the mushroom sauce for additional great flavor.
