“Alabama Style” Barrel Aged Manhattan

As you pass through the 18 Oaks bar, you might glean a peek at a couple of oak barrels positioned behind the bar. In these barrels, where the contents are aged for at least two weeks, are 1835 Whiskey and Clyde Mays Bourbon. Michael Hartman, 18 Oaks lead bartender created this hand-crafted signature cocktail with a focus on these barrel-aged bourbons.

Manhattan Barrel Aged cocktail, which mixes the aged Clyde Mays Whiskey with sweet Vermouth to produce a hint of apple flavor.

Ingredients

1.5 oz Clyde May’s Alabama

½ oz Sweet Vermouth

1 ea Drunkin’ Cherry

Instructions

  1. Fill shaker cup with ice.

  2. Pour 2 oz of barrel-aged into shaker.

  3. Spoon stir mixture until the shaker is cold.

  4. Strain into a glass over fresh cubed ice.

  5. Garnish with 1 Drunkin’ Cherry
